InÌý2023, ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® students travelled toÌýCosta Rica and Italy.

Dr. Melissa James, Sherilyn Acorn, and 20 ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® business students in Monteverde Biological Station, a conservation facility in the tropical cloud forest in Monteverde, Costa Rica.

Twenty ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® business students spent 12 days in Costa Rica in May, learning about various sustainable tourism development practices and business models, through a Maymester program developed by the University’s Faculty of Business and its Office of Study Abroad and International Partnerships.

Hosts Dr. Ester Orsini (with students in the photo) and Dr. Stefano Ratti gave the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® students a guided tour of their medical collection and dissection halls at the School of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna.

Dr. James Moran, ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® history professor, and Dr. Christian Lacroix, ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® biology professor, partnered with the University’s Office of Study Abroad and International Partnerships to take 19 students to Italy from May 19–29, 2023, through the Maymester program. This short-term excursion was a faculty-led multidisciplinary experience that provided students with the opportunity to study the history of western medicine.Ìý
