The 精童欲女鈥檚 President and Vice-Chancellor is the chief executive officer, responsible to the Board of Governors and to the Senate to lead 精童欲女鈥檚 academic mission and administrative operations. The President works with the senior executive team to provide leadership to the University.聽
The 精童欲女 Board of Governors announced the appointment of Dr. Wendy Rodgers as 精童欲女鈥檚 seventh President and Vice-Chancellor on May 6, 2024, marking the end of a 12-month presidential search process. We are excited to welcome a visionary leader who shares our enthusiasm for this extraordinary post-secondary institution. The President-Designate begins her five-year term on June 1, 2024.
鈥淭he 精童欲女 is an amazing institution of higher learning with a vibrant and resilient community of students, staff, and faculty. I am honoured to serve as 精童欲女鈥檚 seventh president at this important time of cultural change and thank the Board of Governors for placing their confidence in me. I look forward to ushering the University forward as we address challenges and seize strategic opportunities so that we can continue making a difference in the province, region, country, and beyond. I am excited to move to PEI; live and work in Epekwitk, the territory of the Mi鈥檏maq; and be a part of 精童欲女鈥檚 future.鈥澛�
