Asian Studies: 2025 Korean movie evening

Asian Studies and the Centre for Korean Studies invites Asian Studies (AST) students (who completed or are taking one or more AST courses) to this special evening event: The 2025 Korean Movie Evening, K.C. Irving Chemistry Centre, Room104, March 19, 6:00 鈥 8:30 pm.  

Light dinner (lasagna or pizza, salad), popcorn, and beverages will be served from 6:00 鈥 6:30 pm. The movie begins at 6:30 pm.

Lauren Rainford and Kyree Thompson named 精童欲女 Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week

Every week, 精童欲女 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 精童欲女 Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for February 10鈥16, 2025, are Lauren Rainford (women鈥檚 basketball) and Kyree Thompson (men鈥檚 basketball).

Dr. Jane Ngobia appointed as new Vice-President, People and Culture

The following message was also emailed to 精童欲女 students, staff, and faculty on February 14, 2025.

Dear 精童欲女 Community,  

I am pleased to announce the Board of Governors approved the appointment of Dr. Jane Ngobia as the 精童欲女鈥檚 new Vice-President, People and Culture (VPPC) at its February 6th meeting. Among a slate of strong candidates, Dr. Ngobia was the unanimous choice of the selection committee. She will join the University on May 1, 2025.

It鈥檚 a great opportunity for students to sharpen their presentation skills and develop new ideas. Prepare a three-minute pitch, face a three-minute Q&A, and participate in a two-minute feedback session to discover what you did well, where you can improve, and what steps you should take next to move forward with your idea!
