The Atlantic Veterinary College is currently seeking a research assistant for a dairy cow research project assessing animal behaviour and sleep. This position requires a motivated individual capable of working independently and in a team environment and has some experience with behavioural research.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • The successful applicant will collect and analyze behavioural data from video recordings of dairy cattle

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Enrolled in a ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® program
  • Knowledge of cattle behavior welfare is an asset
  • Must have some previous behavioural research experience
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team
  • Experience collecting and analyzing behavioural data in dairy cattle is ideal

 

Priority will be given to ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
