Student Assistant - Literacy and Numeracy Project
$17.05 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
ASAP to April 30, 2025
The Faculty of Education is seeking up to two (2) Student Assistants, to work with the Literacy and Numeracy Project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in training and program development sessions
- Assist with the planning and delivery of project-based tasks for a summer camp at schools
- Assist in the planning and delivery of a family literacy program at a library
- Assist with the creation of educational materials
- Assist in the creation of a project newsletter
- Assist with project administrative tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program at 精童欲女
- Knowledge of early years and early childhood education
- Previous experience and/or training with early years and early childhood education
- Knowledge of early numeracy and early literacy development
- Previous experience with summer camps and/or family literacy programs
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience working with graphic design software and/or creating engaging written communications would be considered an asset
