Contracts and Insurance Coordinator - Comptrollers Office
$72,067 – 79,900 per annum, prorated to time and term
As soon as possible to April 30, 2025 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding, and departmental requirements)
The ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® (¾«Í¯ÓûÅ®) is seeking applications from qualified individuals to provide timely and efficient support for the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Contracts & Insurance Office.
As part of the Comptroller’s Office team, the Contracts & Insurance Office works collaboratively with internal and external individuals to manage the operational contract process and commercial insurance portfolio for the University.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Contracts & Insurance Officer, the Coordinator’s duties will include:
- Provide staff and faculty with guidance and advice regarding the University contract and insurance processes
- Perform initial review of operating contracts to ensure the contracts align with ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® standards
- Review contracts for compliance with the University’s policies and procedures and ensure that all appropriate contract processes/approvals have been followed prior to contract execution
- Receive, track and assist in the processing of operating contracts
- Coordinate having contracts executed by the appropriate University signing officers
- Maintain educational materials, tools and resources for creating awareness of contract administration requirements
- Assist in the development and maintenance of contract information on the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® website, including contract approval process forms and templates
- Assist in reviewing and updating current contract templates
- Provide guidance to the University community regarding proper insurance coverage requirements for various activities
- Coordinate the annual reporting, disclosures, and asset review as required by insurance providers
- Coordinate annual inspections and site visits as required by our insurance providers
- Support efficient review, processing, and distributing of insurance certificates
- Monitor and maintain contract and insurance databases
- Reviewing and working with relevant confidential and sensitive data
- Provide administrative support to the Comptroller
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Combination of relevant education and experience and/or undergraduate degree in business administration with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a high level of diplomacy, judgment and confidentiality
- Experience in a University setting is not required but would be considered an asset
- Experience with commercial insurance and/or contract review is not required but would be considered an asset
- Computer knowledge and competencies including but not limited to Microsoft suite, Google suite and Sharepoint
