Graduate Student Research Management - Department of Health Management
$24.00 per hour (+ 4% vacation pay)

Under the guidance of the primary investigator, Dr. Margie Burns, assistant professor in the Faculty of Nursing at 精童欲女, the graduate student research assistant will be responsible for scholarly activities related to a research project titled 鈥The experiences of Islanders seeking and accessing gender affirming care.鈥
Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the primary investigator, the graduate student research assistant will assist with research activities including participant recruitment, data collection and analysis, data transcription, report writing, and mentorship of an undergraduate student research assistant.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current enrollment in a 精童欲女 graduate program and ability to attend in-person research meetings and site visits.
- Strong understanding of trans, non-binary, Two Spirit and gender diverse communities and people.
- Knowledge of anti-racism and anti-oppressive practices and principles.
- Lived experiences of 2S/LGBTQIA+/ BIPOC identity is an asset.
- Experience in qualitative data collection and analysis is an asset.
- Demonstrated critical thinking ability, initiative, good organizational skills, flexibility, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to accurately follow instruction and attention to detail are important skills in this position.
- Reliable and dependable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are assets.
