Sessional Instructor - Department of Philosophy - Faculty of Arts (Winter 2025)
The Department of Philosophy at The ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® invites applications to teach the following course in the Winter 2025 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.
PHIL 3850 – The Philosophy of Kant
This course examines the philosophy of Immanuel Kant (1724–1804), with a particular focus on his influence on the discipline of epistemology and his major work, The Critique of Pure Reason. If time permits, students may also consider Kant’s approach to philosophy, as well as his main critics.
Course is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 am – 12:45 pm
Three hours a week
Qualifications:
Successful applicants will have a minimum of a PhD and possess experience teaching the philosophy of Kant.
Preference will be given to the qualified candidates with seniority on the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit.
