Graduate Research Assistant- Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering
$27.00 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay, as per PSAC Local 86000

A Graduate Research Assistant position (up to 17 hr/wk) is available for students with an interest in sustainable engineering and lifecycle analysis. The students will work under the supervision of Dr. Grant McSorley and in collaboration with industry partners to communicate the results of a study of the lifecycle impact of wind turbines on Prince Edward Island. The students will gain experience in interdisciplinary research, sustainable engineering, lifecycle analysis, and technical communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review current project material
- Create summaries of research outcomes for various stakeholders
- Assist with the development of a project website
- Assist in the writing of a final report
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Graduate student in good academic standing with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Proficiency in interpersonal and written communication is required
- Experience in the area of sustainable engineering is required
- Previous Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) experience is an asset
- Previous research experience is an asset
This position is covered by a Collective Agreement between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ®. Priority will be given to ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® students.
