The Faculty of Nursing, ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ®, has a sessional teaching opportunity in both NURS 2450 Introduction to Pharmacology - Section 2, in the Winter Semester of 2024-2025 academic year. This position is subject to final budgetary approval. 

Please note: The course offered below will be taught in person only.

NURS 2450 Health Assessment

This course provides the student with knowledge and skills for holistic assessment of individuals. Students learn data collection techniques (interviewing skills, critical thinking skills, and the physical examination techniques of inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation). The focus is on the well individual.

Term: January 2, 2025 to May 5, 2025

 Salary: $7,154.00 (3 credit course) in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Board of Governors and The ¾«Í¯ÓûÅ® Faculty Association Bargaining Unit #1 

Start Date: December 20, 2024

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a current registration in good standing with CRNMPEI, a minimum of a nursing master’s degree in a relevant field with at least one degree 

in nursing, and at least 3 years’ experience in nursing as per CRNMPEI’s Approval of Nursing Education Programs Policy. Candidates applying will normally have established expertise, and successful leadership and/or teaching experience in a context related to the focus of the course. Previous experience in teaching is an asset.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the Faculty of Nursing’s Sessional Roster, and to those with experience in teaching university level courses.
