Five (5) Month Term Position - Comparative Theriogenologist - Department of Health Management - Atlantic Veterinary College
The Department of Health Management at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), 精童欲女, invites applications for a 5-month term faculty position starting July 15th, 2023 in Comparative Theriogenology at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience. Duties will include teaching in both clinical, didactic, and laboratory settings in the DVM program and providing clinical services for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital in theriogenology.
The AVC is committed to teaching, research, and service, and is fully accredited by the CVMA and AVMA. The AVC is the regional veterinary college for Atlantic Canada. There are ~272 DVM students, ~55 graduate students, 85 full-time faculty, and a professional and technical team of ~250 dedicated individuals (including full- and part-time). The teaching hospital and its ancillary facilities are modern and well equipped.

Qualifications:
Qualifications for this position include a DVM degree (or equivalent) and must be eligible for licensure with the Prince Edward Island Veterinary Medical Association. Details on eligibility can be found at . Board certification or eligibility for board certification with the American College of Theriogenology is strongly preferred. The successful candidate must have previous experience in bovine and equine reproduction, including bovine embryo transfer. Interest in canine theriogenology is also desired. Experience and a desire to teach veterinary students in didactic and laboratory setting as well as clinical rotations is essential.
The salary range will be commensurate with credentials and experience. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.
