精童欲女

"I work with the student leaders of 精童欲女鈥檚 Mawi鈥檕mi Indigenous Student Centre and the 精童欲女 Campus Life Program to create goals for the programs and support them with anything they need to plan and host student events, get the word out to students, and put their ideas into practice. 
 

In addition to our regular events and programming, we expanded the Campus Life Program to offer events focused on equity, diversity, and inclusion. Providing a safe and inclusive space for students has always been our goal. This student-led programming helps amplify historically underrepresented voices and creates a campus community that celebrates and talks about diverse lived experiences.

The Mawi鈥檕mi Centre鈥檚 student leader often collaborates with the Campus Life Program, hosting gatherings with our Elder in Residence where Indigenous students can come and feel supported on campus. This semester we鈥檙e planning beading and art workshops, academic support seminars, and a Mi鈥檏maq poetry event. 

All of our student leaders and Campus Life Advisors do a fantastic job of creating a welcoming and fun atmosphere where students feel included, where they know their voices are heard and that their lived experiences matter. We鈥檝e received so much positive feedback from students who benefit from a space they can come, be themselves, and meet other students in a relaxed and safe environment."
