精童欲女 presents Research on Tap on March 7
The 精童欲女 will host Research on Tap with a presentation titled 鈥淩ender unto Caesar: Catholics and the Alt-Right鈥 on Thursday, March 7, at 6 pm at the Upstreet Brewery Taproom, 41 Allen St., Charlottetown, PEI.
Dr. Ariana Patey, assistant professor and acting chair, Department of Religious Studies, is the guest speaker for the event.
鈥淭he Internet has facilitated the creation of an Alt-Right movement that includes Catholics,鈥 she said. 鈥淭his talk explores the ways in which such groups understand and use Catholicism (and the Internet) to attract followers to extremist and white supremacist movements.鈥
Research on Tap is a discussion series featuring 精童欲女 researchers and is open to students, faculty, staff, and the general public. There is no charge to attend. All are welcome to attend.
