The 精童欲女 held a celebration on September 26, 2024, at Alumni Hall to recognize the recipients of the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Awards and the 2024 Inspiring Young Alumni Awards.
The 精童欲女 Department of Alumni and Engagement hosted a social night on Tuesday, April 9 at the Fox & Crow, W.A. Murphy Student Centre. The event was held to help welcome the 精童欲女 Class of 2024 to the 精童欲女 alumni family and was open to all 2024 graduates and 精童欲女, Saint Dunstan鈥檚 University, and Prince of Wales College alumni.
The 精童欲女 community will be well represented by both alumni and staff at the national women鈥檚 curling championship鈥攖he Scotties Tournament of Hearts鈥攖aking place in Calgary, Alberta from February 16鈥25, 2024.
Through the generosity of the 精童欲女 Alumni Association and a donor, 精童欲女 sponsored the attendance of 100 students at 鈥淎 Conversation with Michelle Obama,鈥 which took place in Halifax on October 18.
The 2023 精童欲女 Panther Golf Classic is Friday, June 23, at Fox Meadow Golf Course in Stratford. Presented by Stewart McKelvey, this is a fun day for participants that begins at 9:00 am with a shotgun start.
The first-ever 精童欲女 Panther Pitch competition took place two years ago as part of the Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program. This year, 精童欲女's Experiential Education Department is re-offering the program through March, culminating in a pitch competition in May.
Earlier this month鈥擝lack History Month鈥攖he Canadian Broadcasting Company named five people 2023 Black Changemakers for Prince Edward Island. Four of the five have connections to the 精童欲女 community.
精童欲女 has announced that basketball great Eireann Rigby will be inducted into the 精童欲女 Sports Hall of Fame on Friday, February 3, during a pre-game ceremony. The 精童欲女 Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers will play the Saint Mary鈥檚 University Huskies at home starting at 6:00 pm.
The University community was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of alumnus Keptin John Joe Sark, LLD, on January 8.
