The McDougall Faculty of Business invites applications for a tenure-track position in accounting at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will be with a start date of July 1, 2025, subject to budgetary approval. 

The candidate for this appointment must have a professional accounting designation with preference given to a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant designation. Although not required, an earned doctorate in a relevant field, or a doctorate close to completion would be an asset. Preference may be given to candidates with both strong academic qualifications and professional experience in an applied setting. Experience and/or interest in data analytics and artificial intelligence as it relates to the accounting profession would also be considered an asset.

Candidates will be expected to teach multiple undergraduate courses in our successful and thriving accounting specialization within our growing business program as well as demonstrate a capability to teach at graduate levels in accounting. A record of excellence in teaching and research appropriate to career stage, or a demonstration of clear promise is required. 

As a member of the McDougall Faculty of Business, the successful candidate will be expected to balance service contributions with high quality and inclusive teaching, and scholarly productivity. 

Salary: $88,720 to $121,440 (or to be negotiated)
