The Department of Modern Languages of the 精童欲女 invites applications for Sessional Instructors for the Winter 2025 Semester. We are seeking an instructor to teach the following courses in the Department of Modern Languages. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

FR-1020 French Language and Culture I (3 credits) (Online)

This course proposes fundamentals of French language and culture through a progressive acquisition of basic communication skills and an understanding of the practices and products of French language and Francophone cultures. This course is open only to students who have a limited background in French. Prerequisite: French 1010 or approval of the instructor based on completion of the French Placement Test.

SPAN-1010 Introductory Spanish I (3 credits) (In person)

This course is intended for students with no knowledge of Spanish. It gives students solid grounding in the fundamentals of the Spanish language by engaging them, in both classroom and laboratory settings, in communicative use of the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants will have a graduate degree or a doctoral degree, or experience teaching the specific courses advertised.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the 精童欲女 Sessional Roster and full-time and contract Faculty members of the Academic unit.
